When I went to pick up my local overstock stuff I noticed my store offered to knock off a additional 50% on all clearance. I stocked up! Also got $40 in points back! After all was said and done I got everything you see in the picture for $120. That is a average of $3.63 per item you see in the picture.

Nice!

Our Sears is doing a big reset and hopefully they will follow suit. The clearance section here is usually more expensive than buying it new (how that works I have no idea) but with a deal like that it might be worth it.

My store completed the redesign already and they have inventory on Sunday. They probably want to get rid of as much as possible before Sunday. It was 10% off the other day but today jumped to 50% off. But I know what you mean, some stuff I didn't buy because often the sale price is over 50% off and most of the clearance prices are only a few bucks off right now. But after half off I will bite. Because many of the items I got don't go on sale often and they never will again because clearance out.

Went back for more, ordered the following from two different stores in my area for $56:

-18" 3/4 drive breaker bar (USA)
-5" 3/4 drive extension (USA)
-3/4 drive ratchet (USA)
-1 1/16 1/2 drive socket (USA)

I'll update with COO once I get the items, guessing most of the 3/4" drive stuff will be China, though.

EDIT: Everything was USA, pretty good score there. Have a decent 3/4" drive set as well, due to the socket deals a few months ago.

Thanks for this thread. Got two Picquic drivers for less than the price one usually is. Not sure if they're clearance or something, I never even saw Sears carried them before.

Does anyone know if their coping saw is supposed to come with a blade? They have 1 on the shelf, the shelf doesn't show the sale price, Sears is notorious for not price matching the web, and the web shows none in stock. So you know how that's going to go. But it does say USA and I kind of don't need it but want it.

Yes, the coping saw is supposed to come with a blade. The online inventory is supposed to show one less than what the store inventory shows. Price matching is YMMV, but I never have any trouble at my local store.

So anyone else willing to share zip codes/sears stores that have rocking "local deals"? Not much worth mentioning in the metro Detroit area

I'm surprised you struck out around here. I picked mine up at summit place. 48324. Twelve Oaks also has the speeders for dirt cheap. There's tons of clamps on super clearance for half off and all the locals have the pry bars and varying degrees of hammers.

Just cashed out $33 in SYWR points and $10 off $100 coupon, most of it was local clearance out of two different stores. After adding everything to my cart, most of it discounted further for some reason. Got out with a hair over $100 of tools (at sale price) for $61 after tax!

Most of the stuff I bought was not Craftsman, too much of a crapshoot on COO without stopping in the store first, but I did get a set of titanium coated Cman drill bits for $30, normally $100. Really it cost me $10, because I was at $71 but added that to use $10 off 100 coupon and $10 surprise points off 100 in tools.

Anyone know who makes the Cman bar clamps? I want to think the COO was Germany last time I was in the store, and they look an awful lot like Bessey. They've got 24" and 36" for about $8/each here.

Stuff I already have... I stopped by the store at the former Livonia mall.. their tools dept looked like a tornado went through it. Also went by the store at Westland mall.. was in better shape, but far less deals.

I picked up four of the 24" bar clamps, using my SYW points ended up paying <$15.

I went to my local Sears today to see if they had any deals. A few things were marked down, but not the pro pry bar sets. They had three sets but they were $50 each. That's about all I saw that I wanted, but not at that price.

Like you guys said, they are shuffling all the tools around to different places and some things are discounted about 50% off, but not much.

Yep, that Chinese **** gets cheaper and cheaper, hope you get the same deal in a couple of years after all that **** has broke. Me, I stick with good, used American tools, I'd rather put my money in an Americans pocket than the Chinese (where it'll go towards taking over the U.S. someday and don't lie to yourselfs, you know it will).

It looks like all the good deals are gone. All the local places have switched over today here too.

My local ad had a major makeover today. All the under $1 items are gone. Did everyone buy it all? I noticed the clock was still there but double the price today. Glad I hit it early!

So tell me the electronic device you use to create this message was made where?

I noticed all the items were missing or went up in price, but I thought to myself "luckily the old items are still in my cart".... went to purchase them, but everytime I would click "place order now" to complete my purchase, it would take my back to my cart. Looks like I missed out too!

Here was my haul from the past couple of days:

-3/4" ratchet (USA)
-3/4" breaker bar (USA)
-3/4" 5" extension (USA)
-3/4" 8" extension (China)
-Punch holder (USA)
-Alignment bar (USA)
-36" pry bar (USA)
-1/2" 1 1/16" six point socket (USA)
-1/2" 27MM twelve point socket (USA)
-40 oz engineer hammer (USA)
-10" vice grips (China?)
-3 pack curved jaw vice grips with tray (China?)
-12 nut drivers (USA, case is China)

Not too bad for $133 after tax and ~$6 in points.

So is the deal on the craftsman pro vise over? I'm only seeing $135 but looks like folks got it for $74 some how.

It was a local deal for me. So the availability and price can vary by location. And it looks like it ended yesterday in my area. Just go to local deals area on sears website to check.

I had a hand full of items still in my cart for the low price, but it would not let me check out. Went to my local store today and they price matched it. The most annoying part with ALL Sears around me is that normal employees are a PITA to deal with when price matching. They try to find anything to get out of doing it. When I request to speak with a manager or that they check with a manager, it takes 2 seconds to complete the transaction.

Here are some pipe cutters I picked up for $1.47 each. HUGE YMMV. Because I only found this deal at one Sears. I got a bunch of them because it is cheaper to buy the whole thing then just get a new blade. Regular price is around $20 or so.

Oh and this magnetic tool holder was $5 after 50% off. Found a good use for it too. Show off my new shinny red wrench!

Looks like those crazy local deals are back. Mine has the exact same ones as before so if you missed out on something last time I would check again.

And they seem to be coupon friendly. I stacked dollars off and points back same order.

Won't let me add items to cart- last week it wouldnt let me check out. Sears should be nominated for the worst ongoing website problems in the history of the internet.
