So I just ordered up the CMan Portable Job Vise:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00910269000P
since it's on sale for $70. Had $10 in points to use that dropped it to $60, but as I'm checking out, apparently I also had $10 in surprise points as well!

So, try to check out for something in tools on Sears and see if you have any of these Surprise points as well! I ended up getting this for just under $50, plus I had a coupon for $20 back in points too!

looks like I've got $12 in SYWR points, too bad those gladiator gear tracks aren't BOGO right now.

Damn, was hoping to fill in some spaces in my CM Pro screwdriver set for cheap. No extra points for me I guess.

If you check for coupons on http://www.shopyourway.com/ you can rack up some good points. (There is a little link on the top that says My Coupons.) My understanding is that these are different for different people. A nice thing is that you get both Kmart & Sears coupons so sometimes you can get a better price on something from Kmart.

I have also found that their Shop Your Way Rewards smart phone apps allow you to get coupons when you "Check In" to a store. These all seem to stack with the existing prices in most cases. That said, these coupons don't seem to work with things that are "Hot Buys". (Including the buffer and that portable vise that are currently in the deals section.)

No luck for me, but I did see that the Craftsman 26 pc wrenches were only $35.99 instead of $39.99 so I went through with that.

Guess there was some points. I knew I had $10 worth, but I went in to pick up an order and buy a set of snap ring pliers. I got a set of Craftsman Pros that were marked to $19.99 for $5. I was happy as hell. They were made in the USA. Sears.com had good reviews too.

What is the item number? How many screwdrivers are in it?

No screwdrivers. It was a set of Craftsman Pro snap ring pliers.

I misunderstood. I thought you went in for one thing and came out with something else. For some reason in my mind I was thinking screwdrivers. What is the item number of the snap ring pliers? For $5 I will keep my eye open for it.

Here's the item number, 00947412000P. It should come up as Craftsman Pro snap ring pliers. I bought it at the store and they were made in the USA. They're actually cheaper online now at 17.99. Depending on your points you could get this pretty low.

I thought you paid $5 for it? You paid $19.99?

Anyone having this issue with their points? Typically, I can log into SYWR.com and there is a coupon for $10 points for future purchase if I spend $50 or more. For some reason, the past few days, I no longer can get those coupons.

Weird night for me. I've pretty much sworn off Sears.com, but they sent me a code for $10 in points so I bit and went over to see what they had online. I thought they'd cancelled my free shipping deal, but it came back or I somehow reactivated a free trial, so that was something. As it turned out, the $10 in points was after I made a purchase, but apparently, I had $9.25 in surprise points already. Cool.

So I bought a leather handle Estwing 20 oz claw hammer for $14, got the other points, and turned around and bought a pair of Channellock 440 pliers for $2.75 to round out the pliers in my infant son's toolbox. Oh, and free shipping on everything. That's a lot of US steel for not a lot of US dollars.

Sears, you're bizarre.

I like ordering when they give me surprise points. Makes me find something I don't really need but want.
