Checkerboard adhesive for floor?

I want to put a checkerboard strip across the front of my garage floor with squares approximately 6" in size, 2-deep. So the whole strip will be 12" deep by 20' long.

Is there an adhesive strip I can put down that will hold up to being driven across? I thought of tiles but there will be a lip which I don't like the looks of. Painting would probably be best but also the hardest to apply and the hardest to repair.

Any ideas or suggestions welcome!

I work for an industrial printer. There are adhesives that hold up to diesel fuel and bond to powdercoated surfaces (hardest to grip). 3M makes them, they are pricey. It has to be TOTALLY clean for it to work.

Any idea where I could order such a thing and how much it would cost? Thanks for the info!
