Whats the easiest way to do this? I was going to to do it to the floor, but now i think i'm just going to epoxy the whole floor a particular color, and do one wall with checkered.

Just tape it off and paint it. Might make it easier if you use one of those laser levels to make all your lines. What colors are you using?

I'm thinking, red or yellow or gray floor. black and white checkered bottom half rear wall of the garage, the rest two tone dark gray and light gray with a color coordinated stripe

how about some of that checkered flooring ...could put it on the walls, im talking about the cheap linoleum stuff

I actually had a passing thought, when I was planning my garage, of doing a tile wainscot of 4 1/4" wall tile. It would give a really clean look and there are lots of solid colors available to go with the standard white.
