Hi guys,
Just checking in to learn and get ideas on garages and shops, and to find out what I don’t know, that I don’t know.
I have a circa 2005, house with a 2 car garage that can just take a 68 Coronet which is known as a B body, so it’s about ~20 ft deep, with one double garage door, and a man door. Added a window, and a man door with a window and storm SPD or a few years ago and it’s no longer a total cave with the door down. It’s also waaay, cooler now in the summer. Was a sauna before.
I have another property, about 1.5 hours away. 1.5 car garage built by previous homeowner in probably 72 ish. I watched him do it as a kid. Its nice and deep guessing about 22-24 deep, and about 14-16 wide, measured last summer but forgot. Single garage door, man door, that I need me some carpentry-ing skill sets to fix on, and an add on metal shed, attached at the back my brother added on 20 years ago. (Used to be his and I still refer to it as such). It could hold 2 B bodies plus and car parts, but not much more
I don’t plan to do anything major to the first but the latter needs new siding, probably new roofing in a few years, replace man door and frame, and get it cleaned out, build or buy some shelving or both, so I can work on a car.
