I'm trying to figure out what gave me this small burn on my hand yesterday. I was cleaning out/rebuilding a hydrogen gas regulator. A black powder with gold colored flecks poured out on the table and I assumed it was carbon powder and brass from the valve. I ended up laying my hand in it at some point and felt a strong burning on my knuckle. Sure enough I've got a small minor burn now.
Any guesses on what could have been the cause? The table was brushed off before I started pulling the valve apart.
Also, I normally don't stray out of the tools section so if this is the wrong place, my apologies.
This is my clever signature.
