Cherry picker engine hoist air assist

Do you know what I should be searching for to add air assist to my engine hoist? Is it a cylinder with an air inlet? I assume I'm swapping out the cylinder that came with it with one capable of using the lever AND air.

Could maybe use a single acting air powered hydraulic pump. Have to figure out valves to switch to and from hand pump.

One trick to raise the boom before the load is attached is to just lift the boom to desired height.
No pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping to get it to height needed. Again before load is attached.
