Slick - nice source of parts.

>That was smart. How much for the lifts?
he said craigslist, so since I paid $99 for mine new at Pep Boys and the HF units are running $190, I'd guess the CL prices would be $350~500 each used

WTF? Rotisserie? Just looks like some kind of rolling post with adjustable height.

Looking good; keep the pictures and progress coming. I can see where you are going. It is obvious from a couple of comments that some have not followed and threads on rotisserie designs or construction.

Do yourself a favor and weld in some gussets at the base of the vertical shaft. Won't take much, but could be huge in making it strong and safe.

I love my autotwirler rotisserie. I've had my 69 Camaro on it and sand blasted it and then used it to spray epoxy on it.

I have my son's 93 dodge cab on it right now.

They are very handy to have if you are doing body off restores.

You do really need to turn that welding machine up a little more. The weld looks ropey not enough penetration.

My suggestion was from a safety stand point where you might get hurt as was the comments from others about gussets or more weld. If you would turn your machine up & practice a little on some scrap pieces the obvious would become clear to you. If you consider burnt paint or weld squeezing out the back side of your bevel... penetration you'd be assuming wrong. I don't know of any welder that looks at the back side to judge the quality of his weld. Or if any welder considers the heat range right by just setting the dial with out actually setting the machine by welding on a test strip (scrape piece). Well just carry on. I was only giving friendly experienced advice.
