Chevy Logo done in quartz

We just completed a quartz broadcast polyaspartic polyurea coating for a customer and wanted to share pics of the Chevy logo.

Man as a bow tie guy I would love one on my floor...

What was the "extra" for that?

Well the guy got it really, really cheap. We just completed 7000 sq/ft of thin-stamp overlay inside the entire house and front/back patios so I didn't want to overcharge for the garage . . . but it took a lot longer than expected. I was thinking we could do it in 2 days but it ended up taking 4 just for the logo. The white quartz did not cover as well as anticipated and we ended up broadcasting 5 layers of quartz into polyaspartic . . . not cheap. But to answer your question, I only upcharged $1250 for the logo . . . it was definitely a big money loser on my part but sure makes for good pics! If I were to do it again, it would probably be in the $2500 to $3500 range.

How about a silk screen version with some clear coat... hahaha

This turned out a lot better than any silk screen product. Further, I don't think they work well with quartz applications.

As I said, it was bad bidding on my part but the client was thrilled to death with how it turned out.

Yep, we used 3M. The main floor is 8 parts white, 1 part blue, and 1 part black. In the logo, the background is 1 part blue and 1 part black. The inside bowtie is 1 part blue and 1 part white. The rest is all white.

Question on the quartz: is this the 3M "ColorQuartz" crystals? Why did you choose these over more traditional paint chips?

It looks fantastic, btw! (it may just be my computer monitor, but the "all white" portions look sort of yellowed -- how does it look in person?)

Yes this is the 3M colorquartz product . . . S grade.

The white actually seals up an off-white . . . sort of gray white. As far as any yellowing, it must either be my pics or the monitor . . . no yellowing in person.

The homeowner wanted the most durable floor possible . . . that's why we chose to do quartz instead of vinyl chips. The floor has 6 coats of polyaspartic polyurea on it. 1 prime coat. 3 quartz broadcast coats and 2 seal coats.
