I acquired (for free) a CDI electronic dial indicator yesterday and I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with them?

I am mainly just curious as I can't seem to find much info on them.. They seem to be US made and the model I have is a ECG4105, which seems to be an older model no longer produced..

It looks basically new, and seems to work fine.

Yeah, it does seem to be pretty basic, although it does have a data port to connect to a PC..

I was just asking my boss this week to recommend a dial test indicator (I need to measure the runout on my router for when I get my CNC going)... Yesterday he says, we have a few of these sitting around, it's all yours..

One less thing to buy!

I still need a dial test indicator though...
