Hello everybody,
I just wanted to introduce myself, I have been following GJ for a long time now and I’m a big fan.
This is the first site I have ever registered on, so I am not what you would call “social media savvy”, please bear with me as I learn the in's and out's of the forum.
My current project is a wooden pole/timber frame type of shop with living area above, it is an extremely slow moving build, and I’m enjoying every minute of it, for me, half the fun is in the build.I hope to post some photo's in the not so distant future.
I live in the Chicago area and own some property up in Northern Wisconsin where my neighbors affectionately call me The FIB (F**king Illinois B**tard), so on my days off I travel behind the cheddar curtain to work on my never ending project. We bought the property about 20 years ago, at the time it had no driveway, no utilities, no nothing. Its almost completely wooded in a rural area, we hope to be able to retire up there, we love the area and the people are great too.
I am very happy to finally become a Garage Journal guy, thanks for having me.
