Have a old 1" drive impact. One of the guys dropped it and broke the fitting in the end. Then tried to fix it with a e-z out and swelled the fitting in the end. Its ruined.

Also the trigger spring was broken, and some kind of filter thing was disintegrated in the end.

I think a trigger group kit would fix its issues.

Any idea what model this thing is? If I had a model # I could work at finding parts.

I can't even find pictures of any CP stuff with a external trigger.

I once found an IR 1" impact with a broken off fitting at my local scrap yard. I took it home, then took off the piece the fitting was screwed into and used a hack saw blade to saw through the bit of the fitting that was remaining. Then it was easy to go at it with a cold chisel, it just curled up and fell out of the threads.

Yes, this will leave a notch in the threads. In my case the notch was small enough that pipe thread tape sealed it up just fine.

Looks like a CP797.
Some of the larger CP`s impacts did offer the external trigger as an option.

Another one is the CP0610 Galed. These are an older discontinued model with an external trigger.

I think this is what I have, and I think I have a parts source.

Thanks everyone for their help.

P.S. I snagged a mac long anvil off craigslist to use for now, if I can find parts for the old cp, the cp will become the "spare" gun.

Hope you get the old CP sorted their a good machine.
The new one looks like an early IR285. Another good machine.
IR made guns for a lot of other tool brands. I have an IR rebranded long anvil 3/4" drive. Its called a Snap On.
