Chicago Pneumatic 785 shears help?

I recently got these CP 785 shears used off of Ebay. One of my techs at the shop went to use them today and the they kept getting stuck. The motor seems to be operating properly and does not bog. We took the cutter head apart and found that the two outer blades do not appear to be of the same specifications.....? Other than that, the blades are clean and relatively sharp.

I looked into new blades and was shocked at the prices. I could pay $57 for the center and about $35 for each outer.

Can anyone offer some advice here? The parts are more than what I paid for the tool and I bought it specifically for company use with no reimbursement in sight. Right now, it's useless.

Air shears do have a tendency to bog down, What gauge?

Just some thin sheet aluminum...but the motor wasn't bogging...just didn't want to cut.

Does anyone in your ship have Kett shears? If so see if the blades fit-they seem to be compatible with many models of shears made by other companies. If they fit the blades are much cheaper.

These are the only shears we have....just a three man shop. I'm going to get a hold of a CP rep on Monday and see what he has to say.
