Chicago Pneumatic CP9540 Question

New (or new to me) impact wrench time. I had a CP734 for a long time. In fact, I bought it off the Snap On truck way back in the day. It always did a good job for me but slipped away. I'm a DIY now, so don't really need Snap On quality and service.

I know of a used CP9540 but don't know how it compares to the CP734. Is it heavier duty? When was that model made?

Having had such good luck with CP, I kind of lean to staying with that brand. From looking at various threads here, I get it that the newer guns are more powerful. If you were buying a new CP today, what model would it be? Tks!

I know very little about CP's line-up but the CP9540-B looks to be all , or almost all the same parts inside as the CP734. In the areas that matter as far as heavy duty, it's the same parts.
I would be buying a CP7748

Thank you sberry and stikman56 for your replies. The 7748 is, indeed, a tiger based on the specs but pricing goes North of $200 which for me is kind of a wall since I won't use the gun that often.

CP749 is a little more stout than a 734 and stays under $200. If anyone has used a CP749, I'd like to hear what they thought about it. Tks!
