Chicago Pneumatic tools sold by Sears

A long time ago (... in a galaxy far far away ... ooops) Sears/Craftsman sold rebranded CP air tools. I know they are CP because the have the CP logo in the body casting. What I want to know is what is the equivalent CP model number.

Air Chisel : Sears model number : 756.18915


(These are over 30 years old and combined have about 2-3 hours of actual use ! Not that I want to sell them !! )

I bought that same impact along with a 3/8 air ratchet and butterfly impact from Sears many years ago. They were pretty good tools at the time. Still use them from time to time.

the impact looks like a 734 to me I think MATCO sold it as a 1769

if the Air wrench has 7 bolts on the back cover/ 3 small for the air motor 4 larger for the cover it is a 734 the Zip Gun is a 715

Only 4 bolts visible on the back cover of the impact wrench.

I have that same impact, was my very first impact got for in '85! still have the owners manual for it so I could look tonight if you want. it was never super powerful, the HF earthquake blows it away, but it is just a standard rebranded entry level CP...I have others that are not re-branded and they are identical, save for the craftsman label on the back.

Gotta admit I looked up the exploded art and part numbers on that impact but couldn't find a single CP model that matched. The part numbers seem to be exclusive to that particular model. I gave up after about 10 minutes.

Might be a CP726

It does look a lot like a CP726, but according to the label on the back, mine has a max torque of 420 ft-lbs and the CP726 is only 200 ft-lbs.

Resurrecting this old thread because I have info ! The Craftsman 756.18885 is a CP746.



Some parts are still available including the KF144043 "Tune Up Kit". I think I will try one of these !
