china floor jack-ing me around

hiball just saw your kite on the 'china' floor jack, thanks it was GREAT. got a floor jack that is running me crazy, all the seals look good but the owner admitted to taking out a screw and after lookin' found that the ball was m.i.a. on the factory set pressure side. tryed to put a new ball in and it lifts but not any weight. 1)should i use the same size ball as the smaller of the two on the other side 2)in other words do they use the same size in both places? 3)if the jack well not lift weight and the seals look good is there one seal that is prone to be the cause for that 3)after lookin' all weekend i found that the jack is a 'robust quick life' and is actually heavyer than most 2.25 floorjacks with a 7" saddle, a single piece u-cup. 4)do they sell just the u-cup seal. it's a good piece of equipment and i would hate to junk it just because it came from 'china', it is as heavy as my 3 ton allied floorjack and about the same age. at worse can i even buy a new hyd. replacement for this one ?? hate to spend that much but want to look at all options before just throwing it out !!
