Chinese Tire Balancing Machine

Hey, I am new to the forum. A year ago i purchased this tire balancing machine. The manual they sent is in Chinese. See attached pics. Do anyone have one of these? I need help to switch units from grams to oz. This machine is working very nicely for the $900CAD I paid for it.

Do some math, print-out some labels. Mark all your weight trays in grams instead of ounces.

1 oz = 28.35 grams.

Have you tried the Google Translate app?

Point your phone camera at Chinese and you'll get something resembling English overlaid on the text on the image.

It's remarkably good, although sometimes you'll still be left with a puzzle; Chinese is a very different language, and idioms can be quite tough. But for basic instructions you should get something usable. Usable-ish, anyway.


For example, I get "Computer wheel balancer" and "Instructions for use" from that image of the cover, which seems pretty accurate. I set the language to "Chinese (Simplified)".

Try using Google Translate on the chapter titles to narrow down where the weight unit switching might be (assuming the machine can do this) and go from there.

I don't mean to be a smart ***,but what happens when you push the inch/mm button on the top row 4th button from the right? I would think it should be just a push of the button. I have a chinese wheel balancer with an English manual and it is still tough to read because I think it is a direct translation. The manual is in my shop and I'll take a look at it later eoday and report back. Most wheel weights I have are marked oz and grams. I also have a gram scale to double check my weights. I buy my wheel weights used from a salvage yard. I just take a 5 gallon bucket and they sell them to me by weight.
