In the electronics world, every item is now produced in China, logos and brand names added then distributed. Likewise in the automobile industry, many of the components are produced in China then sent to the plants for assembly.

Should we believe that those Mohawk and Rotary lifts are entirely manufactured in the USA or Netherlands?

Rotary mobile colunm lifts costing $26,000 have Chinese equivalents costing maybe $12,000. Honestly, would you "risk" purchasing the Chinese over Rotary? Why?

Don't ask.
No matter where something is made you are at the mercy of whatever quality control is in place between you and the origin.
Buying from a well established and regarded name hopefully will get better quality control or at least support/recovery of any losses.

Quality control and engineering. If both are handled solely in China, with no corporate entity in the states that bears some responsibility, I wouldn't trust a product any further than I can throw it.
