hi .anyone ever heard of a shop floor made from packed sand gravel then road oil put down with layer of gravel again to make surface ? how does this stand up >people use it to surface drive ways .would it work inside also?thanks daryl

It would be rough, dirty, unattractive, and not very durable for those conditions

They do it on a lot of the rural roads around here. We call it Tarring and Feathering the road :( I hate it, it is a mess for weeks afterwards but does finally get sort of mashed down solid. Makes it almost impossible for bike (bicycle) riding.

I cannot possibly imagine doing it to a garage floor.

we have it up here on what we call secondary roads ;two layers of it.Using what they call emultion byproduct of crude oil .It gets hard as heck then they sweep of loose stone.if packed right and right amount of seal gravel , maybe thats where its best ,thanks daryl
