Asking those in the know for their opinion on applying flakes to refusal/rejection or a percentage less than rejection. I like the cosmetics of full flakes to rejection. I have no idea about the cost.
Also, one company I spoke with, Dur-A-Flex only reccommends doing a double broadcast where you 1) basecoat with colored epoxy 2) flakes 3) apply dura a glaze #4 100% solids epoxy clear coat 4) 2nd coat of flakes 5) Top layer is ARMOR Coat (aliphatic ) Clear
My main shop (13' ceiling) floor is 29' x 45'. I will be installing a two post lift on one side
and one (or two) four post storage lifts on the other side.
Not sure how where I will have bench area and tool box, welder drill press etc etc. maybe in the back area (original two car garage with 8 foot ceiling)
I'm now leaning toward applying the MIRACOTE MVERS primer and most likely the MIRACOTE epoxy system with chips.
Just wanting to findout pros/con of a) double/single broadcast b) flakes to refusal or not ???
Floor is now shotblasted, all material in pics removed
Ive also found a very experienced local professional coating applicator who
will moonlight for me for $20/hr cash
Thanks for your opinion and education
