Nice lift/shop, I must say though that a two post lift isn't for everyone. My choice was a four post lift, it has served me well with no problems for over five years.

You're now seeing single post parking lifts come to market with the post on the passenger side butted right up against the wall.

Ive seen pics of those but it just seems scary to me. DOnt know if I could trust it.

When I build a garage I'll most likely use a 2 post. I do a lot of suspension work, air ride installs and such, as a side job/hobby.

It seems like a 4 post would get in my way to often.

hey ultgar ever done an inground in your experiences? Thats on my list for when we do our garage down the road...seems to be the best possible solution to me and i have heard some good thigns about the new generations of lifts versus old ones. I currently work on my car as well as a number of other peoples cars and racecars. Given that I often spend most of my time dealin with wiring issues (wiring of data systems, engine control systems etc) i find myself climbing in out and allf over the interior as well as underneath and everywhere else, for that it seems any posts would be in the way. The current thought for our garage is three bays, a 4 post a 2 post and an in ground what do you think?
