Also got started on another game board, for our youngest daughter and her brood.
This one is called quoridor.

I sure am, Kevin
I've done a lot of production work in my life and anytime I get to do the fun stuff, it is a pleasure.
The true joy comes from being able to give some creative stuff to my family.

Made a little headway on the quoridor game today.
Got the perimeter frame glued up, cut and varnished some of the play pieces.
Thanks

Royce

My son in law stopped by today on his way south to Wasilla, so I sent the crib board and chess set with him to deliver.

Here is a pic of the quoridor game pieces (fences)

Cut some pawns today, one walnut, one maple.
Added some lead to the bottoms, to lower the CG.

Thanks,
Bad idea

Finished up the quoridor game today.
That takes care of our 3 kids and their families.
Mrs Clause had shown a interest in the quoridor game (she thinks everything should be made in multiples of 4!!!) So I made one for her when I was building the other.

With a few days left, I feel like doing something more for my bride.
Started on a magnetic chess set, that will hang on the wall.

Bigblue,
Just like guns and fishing rods, no such thing as too many!

Got the glue squeeze knocked off and the holes bored for magnets on the blanks today.

Another game that is one of our favorites is quarto, may be worth looking into if you get to making some games.

Got the pawns shaped today.

And merry Christmas to you and yours too

Also got the rest of the pieces shaped today.
I probably shouldn't say this, but it looks like I will make the deadline.

Thanks Matt,
I really like to take a bunch of mismatched **** and try to make it look like something.
On occasion, it works.

Another awesome job Royce, curious if those two wood clamps are the newer Bessy's.

Have a great Christmas with the family and don't forget to pick up that vise from Alaskan Airways after Christmas.

Thanks much Kevin,
The clamps are Jorgensen and are a good product.
Merry Christmas to you and can't hardly wait to pick the vise up.
I got a dandy stand in my mind for it.

Put the finishing touches on the last chess set,
A couple swedged copper sleeves for hanging it and a few more for effect.
Finished it up in the nick of time.

The set that went to our middle daughter and her family was well received.
Here's her boys fixing to see who's going whip who.
We sure wish we could have been there, for it.
