I came home the other day and found a GIANT box of tools had arrived! :D

Yep, that's going on 30" long!

And what have we here? Some contents. (Less the stuff that belongs to my friend that was shipped too.)

My new yellow 8-piece set. Many thanks to Mike (kblazer87) for this set! :) And my metric ball hex drivers.

DSC00607.jpg

Some more orange hard handles! :D

DSC00608.jpg

More hard handles. Orange, yellow, black, green. Thanks to kwhitelaw for the green stubby! :)

DSC00605.jpg

A few more hard handles, Torx Plus drivers, CV boot clamp pliers, other odd sockets.

DSC00606.jpg

My first ratcheting screwdriver. I like the colour. Brand new! Some specialty wrenches (1/2" and 10mm.) And the 3/4" breaker bar head.

DSC00609.jpg

The pickle fork the and SLF80. Thanks to Bry@n and DaMaN for the ratchet.

That's some hard handled goodness right there.....

Just wait for the hard handled tour! ;)

Cant wait till I can afford my first snap on screwdriver set!

Hope they treat you well moose.

You can piece sets together for fair money. I've bought whole sets, mixed sets, individual piece etc. Just wait for deals, they come along. :)

Thats alot of, er, duplicate screwdrivers. I'll be happy to take the duplicats off your hands for a small fee.

:lol_hitti

Lucky.

I have 4 or 5 complete 8-piece sets and lots of duplicates. But with some transplant work, there will be less duplicates. ;)

Pretty soon you are going to reach the point where you have more hard handle stuff than I have in total tools. :lol_hitti

I think a KRL is calling your name for sure.

I think it's ~215 at the moment. Something around that mark. :)

For the time being a side locker will add space. KRL1032 in a few years! :)

Off-hand, i remember i paid $135 for the yellow set and $75 for the green ratcheting screwdriver.

You should take a pic of your hand while holding one, displaying both your SO bling and your tungsten-carbide bling! :pimpflash

Very Nice, like those hard handle ball end hex. I've bid on many SAE ones but they always go out of sight. Nothing like hard handle screwdrivers, by far the best screwdrivers ever made

Wow.

I was wondering how you got all those tools from different people in one box.

Makes sense now...

Looks awesome! I like the yellow handles. But, having seen your other screwdrives and these, what's the reason behind having so many identical screwdrivers?

I like them. I don't really collect them per se, but buy the ones i want. I intend to use them all. The yellow set i bought because i wanted it, but i'm very reluctant to use. I don't know if it's rarer than a green set, but i like it more.

Many of the duplicated will be used for transplants onto ratchets and such, that's what all the yellow T8/T10 torx drivers are for.

Why does there have to be a reason?

Yep, my hard handle obsession is common knowledge around here.

All great stuff! My favs are the green handled ratcheting screwdriver (had one back in the day, until it broke!) and the dual 80 swivel head ratchet! Awesome! Have you run out of space in your tool box?

I don't know, are the soft grips really that bad? I've never had one in my hand so I don't know. Never had one of those Instinct handles in my hand either. :dunno:

Although i prefer the older hard handles, i don't think these soft grips are that bad. They're pretty comfy. The reason for the swap is that i asked DaMaN what kind of handles he prefers and he told me that his favourites were red Instinct hard handles. So i thought i'd make him the first Instinct hard handled ratchet. :)

For those that asked, a quick tally indicated the whole lot cost somewhere in the region of $1,000. Which is more than i originally thought..

(This lot was pieced together over a number of months.)
