Christmas Comes Early!

I came home the other day and found a GIANT box of tools had arrived!

Yep, that's going on 30" long!

And what have we here? Some contents. (Less the stuff that belongs to my friend that was shipped too.)

My new yellow 8-piece set. Many thanks to Mike (kblazer87) for this set! And my metric ball hex drivers.

Some more orange hard handles!

More hard handles. Orange, yellow, black, green. Thanks to kwhitelaw for the green stubby!

A few more hard handles, Torx Plus drivers, CV boot clamp pliers, other odd sockets.

My first ratcheting screwdriver. I like the colour. Brand new! Some specialty wrenches (1/2" and 10mm.) And the 3/4" breaker bar head.

The pickle fork the and SLF80. Thanks to Bry@n and DaMaN for the ratchet.

And another BIG THANK YOU to DaMaN for stockpiling this stuff and shipping it to me!

You can piece sets together for fair money. I've bought whole sets, mixed sets, individual piece etc. Just wait for deals, they come along.

I have 4 or 5 complete 8-piece sets and lots of duplicates. But with some transplant work, there will be less duplicates.

For the time being a side locker will add space. KRL1032 in a few years!

Very Nice, like those hard handle ball end hex. I've bid on many SAE ones but they always go out of sight. Nothing like hard handle screwdrivers, by far the best screwdrivers ever made

I like them. I don't really collect them per se, but buy the ones i want. I intend to use them all. The yellow set i bought because i wanted it, but i'm very reluctant to use. I don't know if it's rarer than a green set, but i like it more.

Many of the duplicated will be used for transplants onto ratchets and such, that's what all the yellow T8/T10 torx drivers are for.

This is one of the things i'm sending to DaMan to say thanks, i think you guys can see what's going to happen with this.

I don't know, are the soft grips really that bad? I've never had one in my hand so I don't know. Never had one of those Instinct handles in my hand either.

Although i prefer the older hard handles, i don't think these soft grips are that bad. They're pretty comfy. The reason for the swap is that i asked DaMaN what kind of handles he prefers and he told me that his favourites were red Instinct hard handles. So i thought i'd make him the first Instinct hard handled ratchet.


For those that asked, a quick tally indicated the whole lot cost somewhere in the region of $1,000. Which is more than i originally thought..
