Like the title says...it's a table for his toy trains. I used a piece of chalk board for the top so he can draw on it as well.

Whipped it up today...fill and sand this evening and paint tomorrow.

nice, i would recommend knocking the corners down a good deal, kids and sharp points arent the best of friends

UncleB: how old is your nephew? you are a great uncle and i have to agree if you can sand down the corners a bit in case he or a friend falls or trips. very nice design. how did you nail or glue the legs to the triangle?

Nicely done.

The Home Depot sells clear child protective covers for table edges and corners which are very nice.

Hey...thanks guys! To answer some questions, it was put together with kreg joints mostly...a few brad nails too. I was gonna use some pipe insulation on the corners but will probably look into the protective corners...when I make it to town.

The triangles were left over from another project so I figured I'd make use of them. The whole table was made out of various scraps on hand...trying to be cheap this year! I know I said I was gonna paint today but I think I'm gonna have my mother do that so she can save some coin! Joint presents are a little easier when the recipient is 3!
