I recently bought a brand new set of Snap On 1/2 6 point chrome sockets sizes 12mm - 24mm, i own a full tool cabinet and tool chest of Snap On tools so am not new to tool use. I have only lightly used some of these sockets with ratchets with extensions and the odd time with a breaker bar, I have NEVER used them with any impact tool whatsoever. I am noticing thow after only a few uses noticable deformation on the drive end of the sockets which i have never came accross before :/.
I messaged my snap on dealer and sent him a picture of one of the sockets i have used and he said its from using it on an impact gun, i do not even own an impact gun i have only used these sockets at home and very very few times.
Can anyone shead any light on this as they wernt exactly cheap and i havent abused them whatsoever i regularly clean my tools and maintain them as my pride and joy so am abit gutted there showing deformation,do people think this is a normal thing on snap on sockets or.......??
Thankyou in advance, Brandon
