Chrome swivels - Snap On, MAC, and Matco

Snap On's newer chrome swivels don't have any visible pins.

Matco appears to have a press pinned design, but used to have screws holding the swivel together.

MAC looks like the old Matco's did, with the screws.

The advantage of the screw design seems to be when they get loose you can take them apart and bend the lock washer so the parts fit tight again.

Which is best?

From a serviceability standpoint it seems like MAC wins today... but do fitment/clearance trump that?

I forget which brand I have abut I know mine have allens (over 30 years old)
I like them because sometimes you need on that is tight and sometimes you want a loose one

MAC got rid of screws about 7 years ago. Some stock photos haven't been updated though. They have a splined nickel pin.

I have all the Snap On ones including 1/4 inch deep flex
For years the deep 3/8 metric ones were a time saver, a nut on a stud can be a real ball breaker in the wrong place. Now So has discontinued the 1/4 deep flex and several sizes have been dropped like 22mm.
I have owned and used all the others nothing compares to the Snap on ones, been using them for over 40 years.

Have always used Snap-on. One of those tools, you just buy the sizes you need in Snap-on and be done with it, especially 12-point flex.
