chuck stuck...?

Hi,

I've got a hammer drill in which I can use the chuck to turn the gears (very tough to turn, but can) but the jaws don't open or close...

Any thoughts on how to get it to work properly?

Maybe you could submerge the chuck in diesel fuel and use the key to work the collar back and forth. It may have to soak for a few hours to get the full effect.
