I joined this site this last week. I'm usually the type that only reads what others are posting, but I'd like to be active here. Especially with all the cool stuff that goes on here.

Anywho, I currently do not have a garage. I'm recently married and in the process of closing on our first house in Union Township in Clermont County. I'll have my first garage and can't wait to get into it. It was an addition to the ranch and measured 18x26, but the last 3'-4' in the rear of it was dedicated to a storage closet accessible from the garage and the rear door accesses a small 1/2 bath and the interior of the home and another door to get to our back yard. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get in there, we're supposed to close before June 29. It's a blank canvas, with half-assed work done throughout, which I'll document on my journey.

My wife seems to think that the garage isn't a priority for work to be done. She'll learn soon enough, right guys?

Unfortunately, my current ride(2003 GMC Yukon Denali) doesn't look like it's going to be fitting in this space. The opening is about 6.5' tall, but our door only opens to roughly 6'. I'm really hoping there's a way to adjust the amount our door raises. I'll be looking to you guys for help with stuff like that. I can't wait to move in and get involved here. Talk to you guys soon. I'll be here, I'm sure!

Welcome to GJ.

At one time, the wife asked me about working on my garage, why it took some priority over house projects. I explained to her that I needed a place to work on the home projects.

Hi from the West side, Jeremy. I am in Colerain Township. Good luck with your new home.

Edit: Most overhead doors will adjust up to about 6'-10", I had one that I used a prop stick to hold all the way up when I pulled my Dodge Tradesman Van inside.
