Hiya Fellas - I'm almost feeling as if I am in a long term relationship with you guys!

Stucco is done, now just a few details on the exterior (rock, etc) and the outside will be done minus the hardscapes and landscaping. I'll take a few pics and post.

Been kinda busy with an unplanned venture that has been swallowing resources as of late. I'll post a few pics of it as well...

That is an aerator. We raise freshwater fin fish here on the ranch and that implement is utilized to keep our O2 profiles where they should be.

I saw something today at our work cafeteria that caught my eye. One of the specials was a fish dish featuring Passmore brand fish! I saw that and immediately knew it was from you farm. I was bummed as I already had bought another entree when I saw your fish. I hope they make it some other time and I'll get to try it.

Our white sturgeon at URL's Cafe at Yahoo? Just a wild guess as we serve a lot of the tech co's whose cafe's are run by Bon Appetit Management Company. Really cool though, we'd love you to tell the Exec Chef if you like it. They really go out of their way to bring a premium fish to their customers!

Usually, I am not delivering and at that, we are in and out pretty early since we cover the entire bay area in a day. That said I do get down there pretty regularly to see that all is well. Which Liftmaster opener did you use. I'm really interested in using the Liftmaster 3800 but I read the specs and they list for use on 650lbs or less. Is this the same one you used?

Was reading through the thread again. Thought I would comment not the 3800's. I am replacing them with a commercial drawbar unit on the 4 big doors. Here is why... With the radius we are using, there is an issue with some slack created as the door gets going and closes. Majority of the time, works fine with some mods. However, an easy 10% of the time, the slack will get all squirreled up and hang up one side of the garage door making it nonfunctional. This is unsat. So drawbacks coming and we'll shift two of them to a couple of smaller doors we have. I have the 3800 on another small door and it works great!

No spec yet as the old spec is probably updated by now. I believe the old plan called for T8's. We will see what's out there now...

Curious of the 5 or 6 years to build, had the fish farm been operational all that time?? So the pond is for sturgeon?? Would love some info on how all the 1800 gallon water tanks and other contraptions necessary to grow the fish all work together.

Also noticed on your Facebook, that you've got Ford Transit Connect vans for your fish delivery. Have you considered CNG (compressed natural gas) to power those vans?? Ford can sell a cng version so you can fuel for $2.20/gge to $2.75/gge all across the state of California. If you have natural gas service at the Passmore Ranch, you could install your own CNG compressor and fill vehicles at around $1 or $1.50/gge on your own property!! Ford offers full line-up of CNG capable pickup and delivery trucks as well (ie F250, F350, F450, etc).

Interesting about the cng. Have to consider that for our future purchases. We are all LP here and fuel our diesel trucks onsite so we'd have to maintain a reservoir for the cng if we were to go that way.

We began construction of the farm in 2005. sometime after that we harvested our first black bass. We now operate a hatchery, open water, and tanks which rear silver carp, channel catfish, white sturgeon, black bass, and striped bass which we primarily deliver directly to checks all over the nation. Our second farm will be operational mid-summer.
