Wrapping up the lighting in the shop (and otherwise) today for insulation going in this week and drywall the following week.

Went with LED can lights. A benefit if this taking forever is that previously we thought we'd be limited to deck mounted fluorescents. These LEDs will offer more light, for less $, and at a far lower operating cost + flush mounted as I really wanted.

Definitely. I know projects like this tend to take years, but I was just sure the update would be somebody bumping it to ask what happened and/or whether it ever was finished.

Curious do you have specs on the LED lumen output, temp and CRI ?
Have been very impressed with the 4 I installed 12 months ago, the technology seems to be maturing, although there are still a lot of low spec stuff out there.

Outside so a yearish spent in a rented house helping my mother recover from a stroke, yes. Ready to move in, but lots of folks out there have it way worse than a pretty decent RV to live in. Roof over my or so the song goes...

The lights are really working out well. Was working on a friends car last week at night. Surprising amount of illumination and did not even grab a work light. I am very satisfied.

Downstairs interior, stained and sealed.

Garage and workshop spaces we just sealed. Saw no point in staining, it's a working garage and just wanted something on the surface to make cleanup easier as well as to keep the dust down. Very pleased.

Next couple of weeks will be sending you dimensions to start working on the sink/lower in the main garage and the uppers/lowers for the "inside" garage too.

Shop floors all sealed now. Nothing but details to go and start stocking it with equip and cabs, etc.
