WOW! Those lights look great.

I've mostly looked through the photos and haven't ready everything, but are there any plans for a lift in there?

I think so, but in due time as I figure out where things will go. Our use of the shop has changed to allow for more usable space and flexibility (another building going in at another site on ranch for storage and maintenance of ranch vehicles). Will definitely be installing a motorcycle lift in the "sub-shop". Nice to be finally able to really begin to look at the space and think about where things will actually go.

Temp setup for now. Will likely locate wood tools on other side of shop in "storage" or possibly in side garage. They're rarely used outside of construction but handy when needed. Will have 4x8 layout/welding table, lathe, mill, drill press, sanders, chop saw, etc...

I will be posting update soon on our garage door openers. The 3800's were incorrectly spec'd for this app and failed. Replacing with commercial units from Liftmaster and they are working great!

PASSMORE,

Which model of the Liftmaster are you using, and what size door is it? Are you currently using the 3900 or a heavier duty model?

I would have to double check but I believe it was 1st gen 3800 which has now been rebadged something else with some upgrades, etc.

Door is double sided/insulated, double paned windows, 13Hx20W. I had my reservations about a residential opener lifting 790# of door spanning 260 sq ft, but Liftmaster distributer assured us (installer and me) that it was an appropriate install for the unit. Distributor was wrong.

I've now gone to a T-75-11 w/14' rail. Works like a charm.
