Does anyone have any info on this, and a value?

Plomb?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Mike

That's weird! I have the exact same ratchet and I just took pictures of it this evening. I was going to post them here tomorrow, and ask eveyones opinion on its value.

It is a Plomb. Only made for a few years. I think around mid 1940's. A 3/8 and 1/2 sold as a pair for 40 on eBay a few dys ago. Also a 1/2 by itself sold for around 16.

Since 1/4 is probably less common it could go for more. Probably in th 20-30 range but if u get a couple of bidders who have to have it it could do twice that. The 3/8 and 1/2 really do not bring any money, which surprises me since they are not that common. I guess not enough demand. Also, it's the least desirable plomb design.

When these come up I see them usually sell in the $25 range, more often under slightly than over. The large head is kind of a turn-off for a quarter inch ratchet but the handle is very comfortable. I can't remember, is there an oil hole at the top of the head on this model? I don't believe so but maybe, add a few bucks if there is one.

I don't see an oil hole... But I got it with these "Circle H" tools at the same sale... the larger sockets are 1/2" drive 7/16" thru 1", then 2 12pt 1/4" drive 1/4" and 5/16" and the set of 6 pt 1/4" drive 7/32" thru 7/16", Plus the cicra 1928ish (maybe?) for a price I won't mention... ;)
