Need this settled

Was servicing mtb suspension forks for a mate using his hilka circlip pliers. Between us we broke nearly the whole set - very brittle tips, the circlips were seriously tight fitting but a decent set of pliers should have sorted them out

We are in the market for a set of decent circlip pliers each now

- we have found wiha set for 40 gbp which is j1 j2 a1 a2

And knipex which is j1 j21 a1 a21 but at 55gbp.

Now ime through work supplied tools knipex are unbeatable...but is that quality worth only having one size of tips but straight and bent ? Its rare i need a bent tip so im inclined to buy the wiha.

Are the wiha pliers actually any good ? I know their drivers have a good rep on here.

NWS for me. Best I've used by far. The tips have grooves in them to help grip the circlips. My smooth tipped Protos liked to shoot clips across the room.

Just make sure you're using the largest tip that fits in the hole, and you shouldn't have issues breaking decent ones.
