Circulator pump energy savings

Looking at adding onto my system and require another circulator. Basic taco is about $90. See variable speed ones for double that touting 80 percent energy savings. Assuming it will run continuously what the annual energy cost difference? Or how do I calculate using amps or some other data point?

Making another manifold for my pex radiant in floor. So I will have one room on the new one to start most likely constantly circulating as it’s a slab. I’m moving over rooms from my old manifold in the future. I keep hearing they are great as well but so is solar - in my area I’d see a return on solar about the time I croak. If a normal taco costs five bucks a year to spin I’m not sure it’s worth the upgrade

Why would it run continuously? Even with a decent outside reset, my slabs don't run all that much..?

It won’t but for the purposes of this question it’s easier to figure cost of use.

What is the wattage draw of each pump? what is the cost per kwh? If you can find the amps of the motor and the voltage it runs at we can calculate the watts.

This taco has max .54 amps and 4-44 watts operating power.

This basic one has .71 amps but no watts consumption listed.

Power is .12 cents per kilowatt i believe. Difference in price is 100 dollars approximately.
