Until recently, I lived in a high rise in the city (Chicago). Originally, I handled my parking issues by buying up spaces when they became available (I eventually had 4). However, the only thing that solved was a place to put the car. My building would issue a fine if you left anything in front of the car (tools, bike....), and I would get weird looks when ever I tried to tinker with a car. So I had no place to store car related stuff.
Thanks to craigslist, I found a 4+ car garage within a garage nearby. The developer of a building took 5 parking spaces within one of his projects and built himself an oversized garage. After a couple of years he was looking to sell this space. So far I have 1 lift, beer fridge, tv, compressor, wall vac and way too much junk..

Specs: 45 feet wide, 2 doulble commercial rollup doors, ceiling just over 10 feet, heated, A/C, alarm system.

I just moved to the burbs…. but I kept my city garage. I envy the pole barns and nice garages on this board….. Some day I hope to have a larger (2500 sf+) garage, but for now I am just glad to have a place for storage.

Cool space. Too bad you don't live in that building! I assume the 911 and E-class are yours...what about the T-Bird?

How did you get a TV connection in the garage?

The only car in the Pics that was not mine is the 1966 Blue MB 230S (actually, the 911 is my Wife's but I'll count it as mine).

As far as TV connection.... it would be very easy to splice cable...... but instead I opted for Rabbit Ears. I get pictures on about 6 spanish channels and Fox, no picture on NBC/CBS/ABC, but sound is clear (I'll turn sports on in the background).

I also have an extra computer in here with internet access, this is great if I need to research a repair item.

I see you have a 550 Spyder. I have Beck #73 out in my shop. Bought it from Chuck 21 years ago. Now that I am into traditional hot rods it mostly sits around. But I don't have the heart to sell it just yet. Yours looks real good. Mine is red gel coat and a little seedy. Nice shop.

Beck # 823 for me, made in 2004. I love the simple nature of this car.
