I am amazed at the advertisers on Craigslist so many times! Sometimes you wonder if they need reminding to breathe. :wtf:

Take this ad:

http://salem.craigslist.org/tls/4012535443.html

They are asking $50.00 for the chisel. If you look at the picture, there is a price written in magic marker. It says $25.00. :headscrat

Perhaps they don't know how to remove magic marker, or it is just too hard for them. :lol_hitti

Just to play the devil's advocate here maybe the seller purchased the tool broken for $25 and then repaired it.

Even if that were true, common sense dictates that if you want to sell an item for $50, the potential buyer shouldn't see a $25 tag on it. Any bargaining power that the sell might have had is gone.

There is a thread up in the free parking about over priced stuff, pretty funny. Thread title is "Craigslist Morons or wishfull tinkers" IIRC. My favorite was the "boat n' hoes" ad. Read through the "best of craiglist" section if you want some good laughs. warning some ****
I will leave you with this.

Luckily this was posted under tools since the title could be taken the complete wrong way.

Regardless, he should of remover the old price. I buy and sell a lot of tools and the first thing I do is remove a price sticker is there is one on it.
