Well, I went on cragislist last night to do my usual drooling in the tools section. I dont browse with the intention of buying, but there it was, not so old and barely used. Nothing special, rare, or expensive, just a good deal. $30 for a DP. Its a Central Machinery 10" model S-5901 bench top drill press. I didnt have one, have been keeping my eye out for a good deal and my persistence paid off. Its made in china and I know its not the best of DP but its better then no drill press.

You've got to start somewhere and $30 is a pretty good place to start. Actually looks like it's got some heft to it. With a bit of luck you scored not just a deal but a pretty decent drill press. As Zuk said, upgrade later when the deal presents itself.
