I have seen a few of you here with Walker Turner drill. I like that they have Character to then so I found this on CL last night and bought it this morning for $50. Is there a web site I can find disassembly details?

So finished it this weekend. Works great. I should have spent more time on the base plates but that will need to wait.

Great find!!!

Keep an eye out for a speed reducer pulley.

It mounts on that eye between the motor and the spindle. It allows you to really slow it down and makes drilling metal so much better.

I found one at a local machine salvage shop and swapped it to a guy for an atlas type reducer for my atlas DP. I stole the walker turner one for 10 bucks!!!

So finished it this weekend. Works great. I should have spent more time on the base plates but that will need to wait.

Those are really great looking old machines. I never see them for the price you found. I'm jealous.

I'm pretty sure yours was built before WW2. Judging from the built in switch and machine tag.
Finding an original speed reducing pully assembly will be like finding a needle in a haystack. You'll sooner find the quill cap and mabey a belt guard.
There is a person selling new reduction pully setups on ebay.

That's cool, Not sure it's worth 200.00 dollars. I wonder if I found the pulley if I could make one.
