I posted it on craigslist Free section just to get it out of my garage and within 5 m inutes I had 2 calls on it. AMAZING!

Competely agree. A few years ago my wife and I decided to remove poured in place garden borders. "Maybe someone on CL wants them?" The first 1.5 hrs I fielded 9 calls. A woman, her two large sons, a truck, and a trailer we at my house in 45 min. They dug them all of them up and removed every last piece.

Price $0! ...I drank a beer instead.

I saw on the news one time that a guy got fed up with his neighbors junk. So he put in a Craigslist free ad for it. The owner came home to find people in his yard taking his stuff.

Yes, agree, craigslist free as well as freecycle are great for finding a new home for unwanted stuff.

However, there's one possible reason why your freebie guy was so happy. He might have known there was a recall on Craftsman RAS and they were giving $100 cash and free shipping if you sent them back the old power head. Could be over by now, but he could have $100 coming in the mail.

Well he said he was getting it for his nephews shop to use until he can afford a good one. But if he makes $100 with it more power to him. Ive had thing given to me or I bought for a low price and sold for a profit!
