i like the old snap on, just for the vintage-ness of it...

I wouldn't worry about sliders too much if it's an older box as long as it's a heavy duty brand, i prefer my friction kra3800 80's box sliders to my matco 80's box ballbearings...probably because some of the matco's have a little play from over the years but in general the SO friction drawers feel much more solid/less wobbly to me.
