Not a huge fan of Craigslist, but ocassionally something does catch my eye.

Picked up this recently. it measures 11X 11 X 33" wide and weighs in at around 75#. The drawers measure 5 1/2 X 2 1/2" high and are perfect for small parts. It came with about fifty some dividers. As you can see from the last picture, I have begun rounding up suitable boxes for the drawers. The best part was the asking price ($10)..........couldn't get over there fast enough!!

Asked the seller if they had any more like that? (No) Where did you get it? Apparently left behind by the owner of their previous house and they no longer needed it.

Judging from the construction and that colour, I'd put a Forties date on this one. It looks just like that shelving you still see around.

Looks kinda like the old card file boxes at the library, if anybody remembers the old Dewy decimal system boxes. Now it's all on computer which makes things a whole lot easier to search.

These are small parts bins, they were used in industrial shop all over. Notice the taller back edge of the drawer, you can pull the drawer out and have it rest at an angle to get your stuff out. Worked in the switchboard shop and we had 20 feet of parts storage just like these. We always had lugs, screws and switches in ours. Here's a shot of some.
