I have and use a clamp tite. It works well but takes a lot more time than throwing on a hose clamp.
I mostly use it to repair garden hose ends and spits. Garden hose inside diameters are not standardized and when using standard hose clamps the fit between hose and brass fitting has to be tight or it will eventually start leaking again. The Clamp Tite will work even if the fitting is loose in the hose and I don't have to tape it like a hose clamp to keep from snagging and getting cuts on the hand.

I did replace the wing nut with a knob that is used for clamping jigs and I can apply a lot of force without having to use pliers or a wrench. I use pvc to preform clamp before putting on hose.

They are very useful when you need to clamp something and you don't have anything else.

I've used one to clamp some odd shape material down on my workbench so I could drill on it. I used it to repair a muffler hanger that ripped off the bottom of my car. Many hose fixes.

I made a wire clamp tool based on this video. It works fine so far.

You can buy one ready made too.

I like the Clamp Tite but these are easier to make. Mine stays in the car tool box I haven't used it for a real fix yet just some practice and show and tells.

I like the idea, but seems to waste a lot of wire, and put a uncontrolled amount of pressure on the hose, maybe enough to cut it over time.

To make one I'm thinking drill couple holes in the shaft of a big Phillips screwdriver and make the post part with a hole to slip over the screwdriver when you want to make a clamp.

made myself one as shipping made them expensive in the uk , theyre handy to have , maybe not as usefull as the videos suggest

yes it does use alot of wire

handy for airline ends..the clamp blends in so less to snag against clothing /jobs

I know guys that bought them at swap meets after seeing the demo..........then never used them.

Reality it’s a neat tool.........that has very limited use or value.

A box of various sized worm drive clamps in the garage covers all the potential problem.
