Whats a good price on a used classic 78 bottom chest?

Fella came into my store showing pictures of it on his cell phone. Looked to be in pretty good shape, a couple nicks in the paint--stuff like that

If I was in the market for a box, I'd give about $1200 for it.

I sold a Classic 78 about a year ago. It was a nice box, with some minor scratches. I listed it on Craigslist for several weeks, at what I considered a very fair price, $1500. Long story short, I could have sold it for $1100 on CL, but instead let my Snapon guy sell it on consignment. He got me $2000 for it.

When it comes to SO boxes, the market is pretty flooded with classic 78's. At anytime, there is at least four on the CL's I watch. In all honesty, $2000 is a good price for a SO box that size, but with so many to chose from, $1200 is pretty easy to do.
