Guys, What do you use this skinny drawer for in this config? Any pics? Is it only deep enough for extensions? :dunno:

Stole pic from GJ......

I'm thinking i would use it for screwdrivers, but unsure if it's tall enough. Having OCD, my wrenches need their own drawers for SAE/Metric.

I have several of the same size on my Matco boxes. Wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, etc. Take **** out of plastic boxes and put it there.

I have a classic 78. If those short drawers are the same height as mine then the snap on screw drivers will fit in their trays. My napa screwdrivers also fit in there with the tray.

That looks great.

So that drawer is 1 1/2 - 2" im guessing?

It is 2", standard SO shallow drawer. If it was my box, it most likely would be the screwdriver, pry bar, punches, gasket scrapper and pick drawer. Second choice would be pliers if I couldn't spare a deep drawer to stand them up in a rack. Also, that drawer height will hold up to a 1" wrench up right in a rack.

Awesome! And i agree with your tools of choice for the drawer. I'm keeping my eye out for one now.

I have three of those shallow height drawers. One has sae wrenches on wrench racks, the other metric, and the third are the screwdrivers. Like mentioned, up to 1" can clear on a normal rack.I wish I could fit all of the wrenches into one large drawer like the 96 offers.

I find that drawer height quite useful. I have a good deal of those drawers, but mine is a Heritage, not a Classic. The drawers are exactly the same height, though. The nominal 2" drawers are actually a bit less than 2" - stuff that doesn't quite fit them does fit the 2" drawers on my Craftsman top.

I use mine to store wrenches. Even with the wrench racks they fit pretty well.

Wrenches on Snap-on rails.
Screwdrivers, clip tools and pry bars in their trays (must lay flat, especially the Instincts)
Two stacks of 3/8" extensions, not sure if theres enough clearance for two stacks of 1/2".
Ratchets.
Pliers laying flat, even 90* angle long nose.
Too shallow for Solus Ultra, PP3 set and DMM (if you leave the leads on).

I like my 3" tall full length drawer on the KRA2422.
