On my other forum you have to be a member for 30 days and have at least 20 postings before you can post in the classified section.

Can something like this be implemented here...? I ask because lately I see a lot of HIGH priced items in the classified section with zero information about the user and it's the users first post. Not to sound paranoid but that's kinda shady to me plus I wouldn't want to see someone on here getting ripped off by someone trying to make a quick buck.

Perhaps a minimum posting of say 30 posts (meaning they are actually contributing to the forum)and a two week wait for classified postings...?

Thoughts?

I think 45 days and 50 posts with 5 days of consecutive posts, that way they are not just abusing the rules. Maybe they should have to get a moderator to OK them, that way there is a quality control on the posts to see how legit they are.

This has been discussed many times here. Changes are not likely. It's pretty much up to the buyer to do his own homework and if he feels uncomfortable, then don't deal with the seller.
