Classified Sections

I think it would be neat if there were seperate forums under the Garage Sale section for "want to buy" and "want to sell". It seems like lately there have been a lot of posts related to "looking to buy". Perhaps something along the lines of:

Classifieds - Items For Sale
Classifieds - Items Wanted

Thoughts?

I would suggest:

Classifeds - Items for Trade

Either that or a Barter section...

I agree. Problem is, people are going to post in the wrong section, just like we had all these people posting stuff they saw on Craigslist in the classifieds.

prefixes.... maybe if the make them color coded it'd be easy to spot.

Yea I like this one personally. And make a rule that says "if you do not post prefix your post will be deleted" But thats just my two cents.

I worry that like a lot of other forums with too many directiories Garage Journal may become too "chopped-up". If you subivide the directory you're going to lose the guys that don't regularly sell tools, but instead just have an extra one of something to offer to a guy looking to buy.

I'm with the "keeping it the same as it now" crowd. Dividing it into for sale and wanted sections will just dilute the entire section. When trolling craigslist, how many times do you look at the "Wanted" section? Me, never.
