So likely they're not even for this belt sander.

Are they even for the Clausing? The pulleys that are on it now are a lot bigger.

Take a pic of the pulleys on the Clausing for good measure, they don't go to the sander. I'm thinking the guy may have had a lathe or something else that they went to and just stored them there.

That's what was throwing me off to begin with. You can see where a belt has been wearing on them so they were used on something but what, I dunno....

Scratch that part number request, that looks like the older base plate that's smaller than mine. I think mine is roughly 8x16, that one looks like the smaller base that I have a top plate for. Could you post a rough dimension of the sander base when you get time?

I have a similar base off of an old bandsaw as shown below, but that top plate is 6"x16". If you need a part number, let me know.

Thanks Tool_scrounge but I think I have that style top plate. I'm just waiting to find the band saw that goes on it.
