Clausing lathe badge repair

On my 5914 Clausing lathe refurb, the plastic name badge had a broken end on it, so out came the 2-part epoxy. I made a small dam around the broken area after roughing up the end of the badge to allow the epoxy some bite to adhere. The epoxy was poured into the containment area and allowed to cure a couple of days as there was no hurry. After the epoxy had set, the wood dam was cut away with a razor knife. A bit of filing, sanding, and drilling along with a bit of paint, and the badge was ready to go again. I like cheap fixes.

Thats great! I have great love for the 5914, that is a very full featured machine that can turn out some excellent work. The hydraulic adjust drive is a little wonky in its design and reliability, I spent a lot of time trying to dream up a better solution but eventually gave up
