Anyone else out there with a 6300 lathe?
Oops! Realized as soon as I saw your picture my typo.....
I have a 5310 and not a 6300.

Yup, just starting in on a repaint actually with SWMBO helping as usual. I've owned mine since 2007, paid $400 out of a then-local high school with a ton of tooling. Please excuse the mess...

My mistake...shot from the hip.....I have a 5300 series.
Nice job on the refurbishing.
I dissasembled mine when I bought it to clean and lube. Replaced the cross feed nut and adjusted the ways. Still needs a couple of bushings replaced. Will do a complete dissassembly and paint in a year or so.

The 6300 is what I learned on. Some years later my then employer bought one at auction which was almost like new. Loved working on one again. Went back to that shop several years later after moving on to a much bigger company only to find the 6300 was trashed. The young guys after I left never cleaned or maintained it. Made me sick.
