I noticed that the 14 pc. set was reduced down to $17.98 from around $50 or so originally. I’ve got bits galore so not in dire need of these. Anyone got any rave reviews on them that might make me change my mind on buying them. They get average reviews from what I’ve read online.

IIRC they're made in USA, from globally sourced materials. Or the ones at my local lowes are. IME, if you're not drilling steel, basically anything will do.

Junk. We bought a set to drill some stainless steel because it was closer to go to the store than back to the shop to get drill bits and they burned up left and right. The 9.99 skil set i bought at the same time as a backup lasted longer. Now 3/16 stainless is hard on drill bits to begin with but most of these were ruined after a single hole. At least lowes gave me the money back for them.

Im sure they hold up fine for drilling holes in wood or drywall lol

I'm pretty sure Cle-Line are the drill bits work supplies. The ones we get are garbage. Takes 3 bits to drill a hole.

Looks good. Hope the recipient likes them. I really should have picked up a set for myself.

I know Cleveland is a quality brand. Is Cle- Line their bargain line? The gold color on the outside of bits is Titanium Nitride that is very hard and extends bit life. The black oxide in the flutes has lubricating properties to prevent chip clogging. It is not a fashion statement. Whether these bits are any good is another issue

Don't be fooled by cheap gold coating thinking its going to make the buttery metal underneath better.
